The Missoula
Organization of REALTORS® (MOR) dedicates itself to providing
valuable services to its members and the community. But an
archaic website in the fast changing real estate arena was
a roadblock to delivering its wealth of information and services. |

“Everybody is wowed!”
Just ask Robert Doore, Public Affairs Director for the Missoula
Organization of REALTORS® (MOR). Since the launch of their new
website by Pyron Technologies, traffic on the MOR website is up
and so is member usage.
When Doore began working for MOR, he identified the need for a
new and improved website. “The biggest improvement from the
old website to the new site is clearly the wow effect in the sense
that it captures the culture of the community and our business.
And the graphics are awesome.”
The entire online experience for the user was enhanced. “The
old website’s layout was unappealing, there were no graphics,
limited information and it was hard to maneuver. Members didn’t
really have a need to use the old website.”
MOR leadership immediately understood the opportunities a new website
would bring the organization. Doore coordinated development of a
website that “best captured the Missoula real estate business,
as well as the uniqueness of Missoula and why people call it home.”
The new website hit the mark.
Along with the wow factor, the new MOR website offers additional
innovative features for both MOR members and the public. “MOR
members easily log on, the site is user friendly and information
is at the tip of their fingers.” For the first time ever,
MOR members can post and, more importantly, coordinate their open
house schedules. The public can easily search for property information
and then find information on buying and selling property.
The
interactive features of their site expand the organization’s
capabilities. It gives MOR members the ability to create their own
websites with the click of a button. And the MOR staff has much
more flexibility in managing the site. “No longer do we rely
on someone else handling the administrative part. We have control
over a large part of it. Our overall goal was to control it from
our end.” This control extends to the newsletter, which now
can be sent electronically to subscribers, saving the organization
printing and mailing costs.
On the government side of things, the Missoula Speaks feature allows
the public to directly comment on issues and communicate with the
City Council and the County Commissioners. “We know that not
everyone is able to attend meetings. We created this feature to
give a voice to Missoulians.”
When asked about his experience working with the Pyron team to
create his website vision, Doore had nothing but great things to
say. “The Pyron team was always there when we needed them.
They were so responsive and flexible. Their expertise is invaluable.”
